My son has been drawing the most creative monsters, dragons, mythical, sci-fi, fantasy creatures since he was 4-5 years old. I created this blog to share his artistic vision.

Sleighin' the Dragon!
I didn't have time this year to design a Christmas Card so I asked Kid Valiant if he would draw something for me. His only directive was
to make sure it had a holiday theme. I am so so excited with what he
came up with!! The Santa flying a dragon was entirely his own idea and I
think the execution is fabulous as well! When he was done I scanned it
into Photoshop - added a night sky and a Merry Christmas and just sent
it off the printer. I can't wait to send these in the mail.

There's a monster in my room
I like to use Kid Valiant's art to decorate his room. He goes to this great after school art class and 2 years ago he came home with this super cool - large - cardboard - monster cut out. He has such a unique perspective - i just love this on his wall.

Rock, Paper, Lizards
Kid V has been studying Greek mythology in school and when he came home the other day - he sat down and brainstormed his own Greek god. He came up with a lizard creature that has an Earth elemental body of magma flowing through rock. Kid V almost always gives his creatures at least 4 arms - and one of them carries a staff that can summon monsters. This Greek god also has the power to make volcanoes erupt and spit out magma/lava with his forked tongue!

Legos, Dragons and Bears. Okay just Lego Dragons.
Kid Valiant doesn't just draw super cool dragons - he makes 3-D models of dragons with his Legos too! This is one of my favorites - totally original (not from a kit).

One-eyed monster
Kid Valiant drew this about a year ago. It's one of my all time favorites! I loved it so much that I had t-shirts printed with it and gave one to Mike and both grandpas for Christmas. KidV has signature bat wings he likes to add to his creatures. Check 'em out.

Heart Dragon
Kid Valiant wanted to draw his own Valentine Day cards this year. I threw out a few ideas - a monster with a big heart, a heart monster - but he already had a brilliant idea up his sleeve - a Heart Dragon! I scanned it in - cleaned it up a tad (since crayons bleed on the paper a little) and printed out 31 copies for his class.
